About This Sermon:

Series: For Such a Time as This
Theme: Moses: God Uses the Broken
Text: Exodus 3 – 4:5

God breaks into the heart of a broken man and asks him, “What is in your hand?”

But Moses cannot let go of his failures:
Who am I?
Who are you?
But what if no one believes me?

The Shepherds staff is a symbol of all of Moses failures

Failure in occupation
Failure in Influence
Failure in finances
Failure in life
Genesis 46:34

God tells Moses, to be used by me you must “lay-down” your failures and your brokenness, and follow me in faith.

Today God asks each one of us, “What is in your hand?” What are we holding on to from our past? God reminds us today to lay-it-down before him, so that he can use us to accomplish his purpose to redeem our broken world.
